Program Goals

  • Students will gain specialized knowledge and the necessary communication skills needed to succeed in a hotel/resort, restaurant, club, theme park, institutional and/or convention centers, etc. through on-campus events.
  • Demonstrate the technical, operational, and conceptual skills necessary and transferable to the hospitality industry through internships, workplace environments partnerships.
  • Apply the specific understanding of essential cost control and revenue processes, procurement, facilities management, ethics, and legal issues applicable to the industry.
  • Participate in experiential learning in various sectors of the industry, such as lodging, conference centers, resorts, club management, and food and beverage management.

10th Annual Cupcake Challenge

Hospitality and event planning students invite bakers from local bakeries, restaurants, and amateur bakers and tasters to participate in an annual Cupcake Challenge to raise money and awareness for pancreatic cancer research.

Wine Tastings

The Keystone College hospitality program is a member of The American Wine Society, America’s largest community of wine explorers. Students gain hands-on experience by volunteering their time and talent to assist with meetings.
